Large Print Calendar Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Operator: connectopia Co., Ltd.
Effective date: October 2, 2026
connectopia Co., Ltd. ("we", "us"), a company based in the Republic of Korea, makes Large Print Calendar ("the app") for people who want a calendar that is easy to read and easy to use. This policy explains what information the app handles when it is set to the United States region, and the choices you have.
1. At a glance
- Your events, notes, step counts, and most app settings stay on your device. They are not sent to our servers automatically.
- We never ask for or collect your precise location or your contacts.
- The app is free and may show ads from Google AdMob. Ads may be personalized. You can opt out (§9).
- We never use your events, notes, name, or step counts to target ads.
- Usage and error reports help us improve the app. You can turn them off in Settings › Help & info › Send diagnostic info.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. Under some state laws, personalized ads may count as "selling" or "sharing"; you can opt out of that (§10).
2. What we handle
a. On your device
- Profile: the name you choose to be called and your daily step goal
- Events: title, notes, date, time, reminders, and repeat settings
- Calendar import and export: events and calendar names from the calendar on your phone that you select (such as Google Calendar), and the result of each import or export
- App settings: calendar display, region and language, daily reminders, step display, and vibration
- Health and activity: step counts, your step goal, goals you reached, and whether the activity permission is granted
- Backup files you create yourself
Your step counts stay on your device. They are not sent to our servers, to any analytics service, or to advertisers. Whether a permission was granted, or whether a feature worked, may be recorded without any step values.
b. On our servers and in Firebase
- Firebase anonymous authentication ID and app installation identifier
- App integrity tokens (Play Integrity) with basic device and app information
- Consent records: that you accepted the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, the version you accepted, when you accepted it, the app's region and language, your device platform, and a local installation key
- Server calls: which server feature was called, your IP address, the time, and whether the call succeeded
- Remote settings: your country code, language, time zone, and operating-system and app versions, used to deliver the right app settings
- Usage reports (Google Analytics for Firebase): which screens and features were used and how often, with the app instance identifier, basic device and app information, and your device's advertising identifier if your device makes it available. They never include your name, your events, your notes, or your step values
- Error reports (Firebase Crashlytics): crashes and non-fatal errors, stack traces, the app's state at the time, and device, operating-system and app versions
c. Handled by Google when ads are shown
- IP address, and the approximate country or region estimated from it
- Your device's advertising identifier and other device and app identifiers
- Device, operating system, app version, language, and basic network information
- Ad requests, impressions, clicks, and ads you viewed
- Ad privacy choices you made, and whether a privacy message applies in your area
- Diagnostic information about the ad software, such as crashes, performance, and delays
The app does not request GPS or precise location permission.
3. Why we handle it
- To provide the calendar, events, reminders, backup, calendar import and export, and step features you ask for
- To keep your settings, and to record that you accepted the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy
- To show ads that keep the app free, measure how ads perform, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent ad fraud
- To find and fix errors, keep the service stable, prevent abuse of our servers, and answer your questions
If you do not use an optional feature, or you decline a permission, the related information is not handled. Only that feature is limited.
4. How long we keep it
a. On your device
- Profile, app settings, events, notes, reminders, and step records: until you delete or change them in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app
- Events you exported to another calendar: until you delete them in that calendar
- Backup files you saved or shared: until you delete them where you saved them. They remain after the app is uninstalled.
b. On our servers and with our service providers
- Consent records and installation keys: for as long as you use the app and we need to show that consent was given. Deleted when no longer needed, or when you ask us to delete them (§10)
- Firebase anonymous ID: a random identifier that does not contain your name. When you ask us to delete your information, we delete the sign-in account for this ID together with your consent records (§10)
- Usage reports: up to 14 months, including the copy we keep for analysis, and then deleted automatically
- Error reports: up to 90 days, including the copy we keep for analysis, and then deleted automatically
- Server logs: records of calls to our servers, which may include the anonymous ID, kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically
- Ad information: handled by Google under its own retention rules (§5)
- App integrity, remote settings, and server-call information: for as long as each provider needs it to deliver the service, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal requirements
We cannot remotely delete information that is stored only on your device, events in another calendar service, or backup files you keep.
5. Service providers
We do not share your information for purposes unrelated to the app unless the law requires it or you agree.
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Remote Config, Google Analytics for Firebase, Crashlytics): anonymous sign-in, consent records, server features, app integrity checks, remote settings, usage reports, and error reports
- Google Cloud BigQuery: a copy of usage and error reports that we keep for analysis, for the periods in §4
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform: showing ads, measuring them, preventing fraud, and asking for and storing your ad privacy choices. Google uses this information under its own policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- YouTube (Google): the Calm Music screen plays music in the official YouTube player inside the app. When you play music, YouTube may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and viewing activity, and handles it directly under its own terms and privacy policy. YouTube Terms of Service: https://www.youtube.com/t/terms · Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Cloudflare (pictures for each date): the U.S. date details screen downloads that day's picture from our image server, which Cloudflare runs for us. To deliver the picture, Cloudflare handles your IP address and basic connection details such as the time and the picture requested. The app sends no other information. Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
- Your phone's calendar (such as Google Calendar) and Android activity recognition: used only when you grant permission, to provide calendar import and export and the step features
6. Where information is processed
Information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and is processed in these places:
- Consent records (Cloud Firestore) and our analysis copy (BigQuery): Google Cloud data centers in the United States
- Server features (Cloud Functions): Google Cloud data centers in Seoul, Republic of Korea
- Other Firebase services and Google AdMob: Google's global infrastructure, including the United States
- Date pictures (Cloudflare): stored in Cloudflare R2 in North America and delivered through Cloudflare's global network
- Our team: we operate from the Republic of Korea and may access this information there to support you and run the service
Recipients: Google LLC, Google Cloud, and their subprocessors (Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy), and Cloudflare, Inc. for date pictures (§5).
7. Permissions
- Notifications: event reminders and the daily reminder
- Physical activity: to show your step count and step goal
- Calendar: to import events from and export events to the calendar on your phone (such as Google Calendar)
- Alarms and reminders: to show reminders at the exact time you chose
- Network: to reach our server features and to show ads
- Full-screen reminders: to show an important reminder over the lock screen, only if you allow it
- Ongoing step counting: a notification stays visible while the app counts steps in the background
- Run after restart: to restore reminders and step counting after your phone restarts
- Advertising ID: to show and measure ads (§9)
We do not ask for every permission when you first open the app. We ask when you turn on or use the feature that needs it. You can withdraw any permission in your device settings; only that feature is limited.
8. Usage and error reports
The app sends usage reports (which features were used) and error reports (crashes and errors) so we can fix problems and improve the app. They never include your name, your events, your notes, or your step values.
You can turn both off: Settings › Help & info › Send diagnostic info. Turning it off stops both usage and error reports, and the setting stays off after you restart the app. You can turn it back on at any time. This setting does not change ads; see §9 for ad choices.
App integrity checks, remote settings, and server features still handle the basic device and network information described in §2(b) while you use the app.
9. Ads and your ad choices
The app may show banner or native ads from Google AdMob, for example at the bottom of the date details screen. Advertisers decide what their ads say, and tapping an ad may open another website or app.
Before requesting ads, the app checks the ad privacy choices you made through Google's consent tool. Ads may be personalized using your device's advertising identifier and the information in §2(c), unless you opt out. The app never sends your events, notes, name, profile, or step counts to advertisers.
How to opt out of personalized ads
- In the app: Settings › Help & info › Terms & Privacy Policy › Ad settings. This option appears when it applies to where you live, and lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for personalized ads.
- On your device: Settings › Google › Ads (names may vary by device) lets you delete or reset your advertising ID. Without it, you still see ads, but they are less personalized.
After you opt out, you may still see non-personalized ads. Google may still use some information to show ads, measure them, and prevent fraud.
10. Your choices and your privacy rights
What you can do yourself
- On your device: change or delete your profile, events, and settings in the app, or clear the app's data
- Permissions: withdraw them in your device settings
- Usage and error reports: turn them off in Settings › Help & info › Send diagnostic info
- Personalized ads: opt out as described in §9
Information on our servers
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@connectopia.ai.
Because the app has no sign-up or login, we need a way to find the information that belongs to your app. The easiest way is to open Settings › Help & info › Terms & Privacy Policy › Privacy request in the app and tap Email us. This creates an email that already includes your app's request code, so we can find your information without asking for anything else. If you write to us another way, please include the request code shown on that screen. We aim to respond within 45 days.
When we delete your information, we delete the consent records linked to your app's anonymous ID and the sign-in account for that ID. Server logs and usage and error reports are deleted automatically within the periods in §4. We keep a minimal record, linked to the anonymous ID, that shows only when the deletion was made. It contains none of the deleted content and exists so that old consent records sent from your phone are not recreated by mistake. We may keep information when the law requires it. Information held by Google for ads is managed through the choices in §9 and Google's own tools.
Residents of certain U.S. states
Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, or Connecticut), you may have the right to know, access, correct, and delete your personal information, and to opt out of its sale, its sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling.
- We do not sell personal information for money. Allowing Google to use your advertising identifier and ad activity to personalize ads may be considered "selling" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under some state laws. You can opt out through Ad settings in the app (§9).
- We do not use personal information for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
- You can make any other request by email as described above. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof that you authorized them.
- We will not treat you differently for making a request. If we decline your request, you can reply to our answer to ask us to reconsider it.
11. Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email info@connectopia.ai and we will delete it.
12. Other regions
If you change the app's region in Settings (for example, to Korea), the features and privacy policy for that region apply, and the app shows you that region's policy.
13. How we protect information
We limit access, manage permissions, encrypt traffic with HTTPS, keep external keys in protected storage, verify app and device integrity, and limit how often a device may call our servers.
No method removes every risk. A lost device, a backup file you exported, an operating-system backup, an outage at a service provider, or your network can create risk, so please keep your device locked and your accounts secure.
14. Changes to this policy
If the law, the app's features, or a service provider changes in a way that matters, we will update this policy and tell you in the app or by another appropriate method. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
On iPhone
On iPhone, the app uses Apple Calendar for calendar import and export, Motion & Fitness for step counts, and App Attest and DeviceCheck for app integrity checks. The Android-only permissions in §7 (alarms and reminders, full-screen reminders, ongoing step counting, and running after restart) are not used. You can withdraw permissions in Settings › Large Print on your iPhone.
Before the app uses your device's advertising identifier, it asks for your permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow it, the app does not use that identifier to personalize ads, and you still see ads. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
